CBL #10: Advanced Cases with ESX advanced free
In this video Dr. Nasseh Explained the advanced protocol for using the ESX File.
The ESX instrumentation technique is unique in the way that it has different algorithms of use for different kinds of canals. This allows minimum use of files depending on the case at hand. This is also what makes ESX a modular instrumentation technique. Canals are first qualified as Basic vs. Advanced and the corresponding technique is then assigned for the case at hand.
In Basic Canals, which constitute the majority of canals we run into, two ESX files can be used to complete the case, whereas in Advanced Canals (most molars), a 4-5 ESX files are generally needed to complete instrumentation. This is what makes this a responsible and safe technique.
This differentiation helps practitioners use the minimum number of files in a given case and yet provide responsible, safe instrumentation for their patients.
In this tutorial Dr. Nasseh demonstrates the use of ESX files and the Advanced protocol in a mandibular second molar.
