Dear Friends,
I just got introduced to wave one and guttacore obturation techniques.  I have always been a brasseler fan, but this is what this office uses.
Has anyone use these systems?  how do you feel about them?  how are your results?  do you have any advice that would make my cases better?

Thank you.

In reply to Tuan Nhu Dear Tuan,
Non of us use the WaveOne/Gutta Core system. You'll have to get advice elsewhere for its use. Again, success is a function of your cleaning and shaping. We've had videos showing some of the limitations of reciprocation vs. rotation as well as the problems associated with thermoplastic obturation and its shrinkage. That's why we don't use reciprocation and certainly no thermoplastic GP. Thermoplastic GP tries to solve a problem that no longer exists (resorbable sealers). It's expensive, more complex to use, and it shrinks. But it still obturates the canal and I'm sure someone can help you with it. But you can still fill those same canals with BC Sealer and GP using lateral condensation. That would be a lot less expensive that Gutta Core and, IMHO, a lot better.
Good luck!
Ali

In reply to tuugii yuka Thank you Tuugii! :)
I'm not very familiar with the protocol for iRace, as it's not available here in the US. However, I know the file is of very high quality manufacturing. I had a chance to visit the FKG factory a few years ago (I will share a video I made from my trip soon) and I was blown away by the manufacturing quality. So, I'm sure the system will work with efficiency. You just have to see what's the exact manufacturer recommendations and try to implement what they say exactly. The goal is produce a shape. I'm sure you'll be able to do that with iRace very efficiently.
